Our Story
Built on smoke,
wood and patience.
Bully Barbeque was founded by Aljofel Zaragoza with one simple idea: real barbecue takes time, real wood, and real people who care. From our pit on US-42 in Goshen, we slow-smoke locally raised meats over Kentucky hickory and post-oak until the smoke ring is pink and the bark crackles between your fingers.
Every rub is mixed in our kitchen. Every sauce is simmered down by hand. Our sides — the mac, the slaw, the beans, the cornbread — come from family recipes passed down across generations. We don't take shortcuts because barbecue this good can't be rushed.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick brisket sandwich on your lunch break, feeding the whole family on a Sunday, or planning a wedding for 300, the welcome is the same: a friendly nod, a heaping plate, and the kind of hospitality you only find in Oldham County.
What we stand for
01
Wood, never gas
Every brisket and rack of ribs spends its hours over real Kentucky hardwood.
02
Made from scratch
Rubs, sauces, sides and desserts — all made in-house, every week.
03
Local first
We source meats and produce from Kentucky farms whenever possible.
